Oxfordshire College case study

The Lee building, Christ Church originally housed the laboratory and lecture theatres and is now used as an annex to the Senior Common Room.

Having been last refurbished in the 1980s when its use changed it was due for a redesign and I was one of the people asked to propose decorating schemes to refresh the rooms and make them more accessible particularly to wheelchair users.

The building’s character, its place in history and its original Georgian features were factors I was conscious of, while creating a sense of comfort and hospitality, a home from home within the college.
